ONE LORD, ONE CHURCH, ONE GOSPEL. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 4
TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:4-7
Key verse: “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ” 1 Corinthians 12:12.
One God existing in Trinity. The father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, whose dwelling place is heaven, created all things for Himself, including men in the world. Because of the sin and rebellion of men, God the Son, Jesus Christ came to earth to redeem men from sin. He came with the gospel of salvation, suffered and died to restore men back to God. Those who believe in Him become member of His body, the church. God is opening our eyes to the oneness of Christianity. This is important; the body of Christ refers to the church of Christ. As the body of Christ refers to the church of Christ, whatever name, location, denomination, tribe, race of nation, etc. No local or denominational church should separate herself from the body of Christ. To do so is to deny herself of the sustenance supplied by Christ to the whole body. All branches of the tree are part of the tree and takes nutrients from it, when a branch is separated or cut off from the main tree, it withers away. As long as a local assembly admits the authority of Christ, the Lord will work in it as he does in other churches to bring salvation and eternal life to the member to the glory of the father. The one spirit here is the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Christ that is actively at work in the churches of Christ universal. 1Corinthians 12:13, For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. The Holy Spirit is actively at work to bring life to the body of church. The Spirit is working out Spiritual revival in the body of Christ. He is making believers to see the world, its pleasures, wealth, powers and promises as vanity compared with the Excellency of Christ and His eternal rewards. He is promoting Jesus and making us to exalt Him above Satan and the world. He is causing every knee in the church to bow to Jesus and confess His Lordship. He is resting to the church the pure word of truth, righteousness, holiness, and power. He is working in the world to bring sinners to the Lordship of Jesus for their salvation from sin and integration into the body of Christ. He is working actively in the church to purify believers and make them conform to the image of Christ in righteousness and holiness and in full obedience to the father's will. He is preparing the body of Christ for presentation to God and the father for eternal purposes open for Him. In Christ Jesus we are one.
Thought for the day: For the body is not one member< but many members.
Song for the day: I don’t care what Church you belong to....
Bible Reading for the day: Jeremiah 38-39; Hebrews 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
