TOPICSERVICE IN HUMILITY: THE EXAMPLE OF DEBORAH.  SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 24
TEXT:  Judges 5:1-7
KEY VERSE: “Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam. Judges 5:12.

The children of Israel had backslidden and the Lord sold them to the hand of king Jabin and the man oppressed them for twenty years. The highway was deserted. The men were so afraid that they stopped walking openly for fear of attack of the enemies. In their fear and weakness, none of the men was courageous to lead the people to righteousness and victory. God gave a ministry to Deborah at this time. She sang in anticipation of victory.

Deborah, a woman, became the judge of Israel. That is, she made the people to know the righteous ways of God and showed them how to live in the fear of God. She was a prophetess. She delivered, preached and taught the Word of God to His people. The account of her ministry and dealing showed clearly that she did not usurp the authority of man. She recognised the leadership or headship of men over the women.

By inspiration she called for a man to take the lead against the enemy. Note here that men recognised her divine authority in ministry and submitted to it. The matter is not who is in ministry, but whom has God placed His grace and anointing on. Deborah displayed humility and meekness, recognising the place of man in her ministry. There was no abuse of power or disrespect for men. Her service and leadership was accepted happily and she accomplished her ministry to the glory of God. Deborah was a married woman who played her role well with her husband, according her love, submission, obedience and service as a wife. This is good in the sight of God.

Where men failed due to fear and cowardice, the women rise up as helpmate. Where darkness falls upon men, the light in the women shines bright. Let the woman deal gently with the men. Though the Lord has given her the calling and grace for ministry, she should exercise shamefacedness and sobriety, humility and meekness when handling or dealing with the men.

Thought for the day:   Let the woman exercise humility and meekness when handling ordealing with the men.
Song for the day: Create in me a clean heart O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me.
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 1-3; Galatians 2

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
