TOPIC: YOU ARE ORDAINED UNTO FRUITFULNESS. WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 27
TEXT: JOHN 15:1-16
KEY VERSE: “Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain”. (John 15:16).
Every believer in Christ is expected to bear fruit. Fruit bearing is a distinguishing feature between the living and dead branch of a tree. Through His enriching Word, God bestows sufficient grace to make His children fruitful. If you are digesting the word of God and you open your heart to understanding, you will be increasingly fruitful. The fruit of the Spirit will be clearly seen in you in an increasing measure as you move on in life.
“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16).
To be in church all these while and remain the same shows you are not interested in the grace God gives to all that come to Him. It means you have willingly submitted your life to the control of sin and Satan.
God expects believers not only to bear fruit of righteousness and holiness, but also to go and evangelize and bring sinners to repentance. Soul-winning is the principal duty of every believer. This is the Great Commission to which every believer has been called by Jesus. It is dangerous not to win souls to Christ because that would mean disobedience to His command.
Look up to Jesus for His enablement for without Christ we can do nothing. But with Christ, we can do all things. May the Lord Jesus Christ bestow His grace on you so that you may serve Him and win souls for Him. Amen.
“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:2-3).
Thought for the day: Ask for grace to be fruitful.
Song for the day: Go and tell them that Jesus died for the sinful world.
Bible reading for the day:
Isaiah 10-12; Galatians 5

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
