TOPIC: YOU CAN LIVE ABOVE SIN IN THIS WORLD AS JESUS DID

TEXT: John 3:1-10
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst does not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

KEY VERSE: 1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

When Jesus walked on water, the Holy Spirit dropped in Peter’s heart that he too can do what he saw his Lord did. Man on earth can do whatever Jesus did, and even more! Jesus told His disciples, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12).

Like Jesus, man on earth can live a holy life above sins on earth. Man can walk on top of the waters of sin that covers the earth. Man can walk over the waters of temptations, the various shaking, the demonic forces, and you will remain spiritually stable, living above every kind of sin. When the Holy Spirit dropped this in Peter’s heart, he immediately told Jesus, “Lord, if it is thou, bid me come unto thee on the water” (Matthew 14:28).

I want you to understand this because they are deceiving you that in this life you cannot live a victorious life over sin. They are deceiving you that because of the works of Satan; the powers of Satan that work as mighty winds blowing upon the earth, that it is impossible to live without sinning. That is deceit!

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Jesus brought power from heaven to make you live above sin. Peter said, “Lord if you are the one, invite me to come.” What did Jesus say in the next verse? He said, “Come!” That word carries power for the word of God is quick, and powerful.  The word of God is very powerful. Paul wrote, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16).

The word releases power. Power to do what? First, it is the power to overcome sin; power to defeat sin. When Jesus said to Peter “come” and Peter came down from the ship, he walked straight on the water to meet Jesus. I don’t know the distance Peter walked but he walked on top of the water for a time, which showed that a man can walk on top of the water of sin victoriously without sinking. Praise the Lord!

Thought for the day: Jesus has given you the power to live above sin in this life to enter heaven.

Song for the day: Forever, oh Lord, thy word is settled in Heaven….

Bible reading for the day: Joshua 19-20;

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
