TOPIC: STOP SUSPECTING EVERYBODY AROUND YOU

TEXT: 2 Kings 4:8-10
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, there was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

KEY VERSE: Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

In today’s devotional text, a woman who had interacted with Elisha for some time said to her husband, “I perceive that this is a holy man of God.” If you walk with a man who professes to be a Christian for some time, you will know whether he is a true Christian or not; you will know whether he or she is a holy person or not.

Today’s key verse says you shall know them by their fruit. In Philippians 4:3 Paul said, “Help those yokefellows whose names are in the book of life”  Because Paul knew these believers by their fruit, he said their names are in the book of life.  I am saying this so that you will have confidence in one another. I know witches and wizards are there, but let not this suspicion overcome the truth in Christ.

Pray it away for it is dampening the gospel. Pray it off from your mind until the Lord reveals it. The disciples of Jesus lived with Judas Iscariot peacefully. They never suspected him until circumstances brought him out. Do you know that such innocence causes sincere dealing, which is very good for you? If you are full of a sense of evil, it will hurt you.

You see this man and what runs through your mind is, “This man is not true, this man is not sincere.” You see that woman and you are already thinking, “This woman looks suspicious. No, no, no. I think she may be a witch.” If you are full of suspicions, you will not enjoy the peace of Christ; you will not have rest of mind. Christianity will be badly affected.

Bible says in Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

This sincere state of innocence of being ignorant of evil and dealing with people with sincerity will make you sleep well and do things well. Leave all in the hands of the Holy Spirit who is going to guide you into all truth. Because you are surrendered to Him, He will guide you and let you know if there is any evil or danger that you need to avert. Stop suspecting everybody around you so that you don’t give Satan a chance in your life to create division and cause confusion in the church.

Thought for the day: Learn to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise.

Song for the day: I need you, you need me. We’re all a part of God’s body…..

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
