TOPIC: IF YOU CAN COMMIT YOUR MARRIAGE PLANS TO JESUS, HE WILL WORK IT OUT FOR YOU

TEXT: Psalms 37:4-7
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as to the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

KEY VERSE: Psalms 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. 

Adam did not pray to God for marriage but God knew he needed it and gave him a wife. Are you seeking a marriage partner? He will give you. To know it was God that gave you the marriage will give you peace of mind in the future. 

The flesh cannot prosper where spirituality is. In righteousness, you will get your husband. Don't succumb to parental pressure. Pray in faith when you need a marriage partner. 

Matthew 7:7-11 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

The only condition that God gives is for you to be a child of God and He will give you your partner. He is not saying that you must be rich or that you must be educated etc. The problem may be your taste because you have set a standard of marriage partner for yourself. 

There is no righteousness in some of your tastes. Even the deformed is eligible for marriage. A lame man met me to pray for him for a wife. I noted his condition and prayed for him. Recently, the man came to the conference with his wife and two children. All God says is ask, whether you are blind or lame!

Also, seek counsel. Sometimes it may be sin that is obstructing your way because God will not give holy things to dogs. We don't preach generational curse in Holiness Movement because Jesus has taken away those curses if you are in Christ. But what about the sins you are still committing? 

Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors, they are established. 

Without counsel, marriage is disappointed. People suffer disappointment. Therefore, get advice from seasoned people. Avoid marriage matchmakers. Some will tell you they have a special gift of a dream and they will start telling you phantom dreams. Be very careful!
