TOPIC: CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE JANUARY Sunday 3rd

TEXT: John 6:60-69

KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

True preachers are the preachers of righteousness and eternal life. True preachers are those that talk about the world to come because that is actually where life matters. The total of God’s word is eternal life. All that the words of God want to achieve in your life is eternal life. Unfortunately, some people reject eternal life because the word of eternal life is too heavy for them; the word of eternal life is too strong for them. When Jesus spoke about people drinking His blood and eating His flesh, many of His disciples turned away. They said this is a hard saying; who can hear this; who can bear this? The number of His followers that left Him was so much that Jesus was compelled to ask the twelve if they too will not go away. Others have gone, are you not also going away?

The same challenge was faced by Ruth who decided eternal life when her mate, Orpah, turned back. Behold, your mate has turned back to her people and her god. Will you not also turn back? And Ruth answered, “Suffer me not; don’t compel me to turn back. I have made a choice; the choice of eternal life. I have made a choice that your God shall be my God for I have seen Him. I have studied much about Him and I have understood him during my relationship with you these few years. Your people shall be my people, they are a people that know the Living God. Where you die, there will I die and be buried. I have been cut off from my people in the world and no going back. Not even my dead body will go back to idols.” (Paraphrased).

Jesus Christ asked, “Are you not going away?” Peter answered, “Lord to whom shall we go? For we know that You have the words of eternal life; we know that you are the Christ; the Son of the living God. And the words You speak are the words of eternal life; so where do we go again?” This concerns those who have an understanding of why they are following. Unfortunately, hard words from the pulpit will make those who don’t know the truth turn back. They are not determined; they are like Orpah, they are like the other crowd that turned back. What about you?

Thought for the day: The best choice you can make in this life is to choose eternal life.

Song for the day: I have chosen the way, I have chosen the way……

Bible reading for the day: Genesis 6-8; Matthew 3

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
