TOPIC: CHILD TRAINING IS GREAT LABOUR

TEXT: Genesis 18:17-19

KEY VERSE: Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Child training is a labour. It is a work to be done. It involves vision and action, because the Bible says, " Train up a child in the way." You must design the way you want your child to go. Child training is an activity that takes time. It means, you must create time to be with the child. You have to reduce your involvement in other things for the training. How do you put people in a class for training and the teacher is not there for them? You have to create time for the child. Child training is a challenge. It is a challenge because many things go against it. What do we say about the lazy man? What about the man who occupies himself with other things? What about the travelling man? What about the man that stays too far away from the family? What about the mother who is occupied with business or office work? It is laziness! You have no time but you spend a lot of time for yourself. Train your child and he shall give you peace and blessing, or leave him untrained and reap the shame and sorrow that follows later.

Child training involves planning, battling, prayers and wisdom. You must plan for it and take action according to your plan. Ask God for his wisdom and grace to achieve good result. It involves prayer. Pray for resources, effective materials and good connections; in case you are not where the child resides. Seek for the method or methods that you can use to succeed in this good work. It involves prayer and fasting to battle with forces of corruption over children. Right methods and right persons all have to be employed in the business of child training. It is because the child is not trained that she behaves badly. When your fingernails are not trimmed, we see dirt under them. You were too busy to cut them. Your forgetfulness keeps on increasing the dirt inside your fingernails. Children well-trained are a blessing. Happy is a man that has a number of well-trained children. It was said of John Wesley’s mother that she had many children, nine of which survived to adulthood and she decided to train them all to become ministers of God. She worked on them. All except, probably one, became ministers of the gospel. She gave them good training. She gave them time. You can do so too. Have a goal in training your children.

Thought for the day: A well trained child today is your peace tomorrow.
Song for the day: Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old…..
Bible reading for the day: Exodus 11-12; Matthew 18:21-35

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
