THE IMPORTANCE OF DOWRY PAYMENT WEDNESDAY MAY 24 TEXT: GENESIS 34: 8 – 12 Key Verse: “And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give” Genesis 34: 11 Once parental consent has been released upon you and your fiancée, marriage can take place after courtship and other formalities; dowry can be paid later. Sometimes dowry is not required. So, if consent has been given, and you are together as husband and wife after following due process, then you can come and pay later when you have. Don’t say later, I didn’t pay your dowry, so go back to your father’s house. The father has released her, so she’s released, dowry or no dowry. All that is required is to pay later because you married her on credit. It’s like, you bought a car on credit, it became yours and you are using the car and it is getting old now, and it has developed some noise and you say you want to return the car, who are you returning it to? It is the payment of the money that remains. You got the woman and now she’s aging and children everywhere and you say you want to return her, to who? Check your marriage, is there parental consent, have they released that woman to you truly? Maybe you eloped before but your in-laws have even visited, prayed and blessed you in the house, you ran away before but he forgave you and said I have forgiven you, I want my daughter to marry, stay together any time you are ready for dowry payment you can come. The matter has finished. All that is required now is money. If you miss heaven, it will be because you are a borrower that does not pay. Again dowry may be required of her by her parents. Ask the parents what do they want you to give, let them give you their list, let them charge you; if they charge one million naira, you may have to plead because it’s an open market. You plead, you beg and you woman, join in begging, you know which person to influence among your parents. What if they demand for alcohol, cigarette and any of these abominable things by the scripture? You cannot give anything that is corrupt: alcohol, cigarette or any such thing. Make sure things are followed in holiness and righteousness, no immorality before marriage. However tough the in-laws are, they’ll eventually bow if the woman is from God for your life. Thought for the day: Owe no man anything but to love. Song for the day: He paid the debt He did not owe, I owe the debt I could not pay. 1 Chronicles 11-13 John 9:1-23 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
