BIBLICAL TRADITIONS ON MARRIAGE THURSDAY MAY 4 TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 7: 36 – 38 Key Verse: “And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left” Genesis 24: 49 The Biblical pattern shows that the parents of the woman have power to release her for marriage or not to release her to a particular man. That’s the authority of the father and God does not challenge it. God gave it to him. There’s someone that gives and the authority of that man should not be overlooked. You want to marry and you don’t have business with the parent of the lady? Not Christian marriage. The father of that woman has a will over her, to give her to you or not, and God is not charging him, except if there’s a wicked purpose in him. It is his right, don’t play him off, if you do, then you stole her. You stole that woman because the parent were not aware, the parent didn’t give consent you stole her. If you say, you saw the will of God, like those who have not married; we have seen the will of God to a woman and the father of the woman says, I am not giving you; You may say, ‘forget what he’s saying’. Don’t forget it. Take that matter to God in prayer, if that is the will of God. “The heart of the wicked is in the hand of the Lord” how much more the heart of the righteous and of the common man; “as rivers of water He turneth it to whithersoever He wills.” Take it to God and let Him change that man’s heart. If God promised you that woman, He will surely give you. He will go and work on the heart of the man. God will not go through the window; you come to buy something in a store, the man is not there, God climbs through the window into the provision store and say take? There’s no unrighteousness with God, He commands the man to exercise his will, He will appeal to the will of that man just pray to God. In case you pray very well, and the man did not change or hear, that marriage is not the will of God. Abandon it and move forward. “Ask anything according to my will and I will do it” This is the confidence we have in Him that when we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. When we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask we receive the answer from Him Thought for the day: Parental consent is a vital requirement for scriptural marriage. Song for the day: Trust and Obey, For there ‘s no other way. Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 8-9; Luke 23:39-56 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
