PURITY OF THE SENSES SATURDAY MAY 27 TEXT: JOB 31: 1-13 Key verse: “I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?” Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes. As I walk on the street and I see the nakedness on the street; why will I be walking into the nakedness of a woman? What am I doing that for? What portion of God is there in a maid? Is it going to make me righteous, more righteous? Is it going to give me grace? For the Christian life and service, is it going to make me sing and bless God? What portion is there that I should be putting my eyes on and looking into their nakedness? Never! I'm talking about the one with passion for purity. His eyes are regulated; he turns them away from beholding vanity. If they are dancing disco, he turns his eyes away. The dancing may be in the television with women dancing in nakedness, what pleasure do you derive from there? He asks himself, in which way do you receive anointing from such? Which way do I receive grace? If I fix my eyes on those boys, corrupt boys on the screen dancing with corrupt girls (they are out there in pants, their breasts exposed with nakedness), should I take pleasure in it? No, it will corrupt my heart. This is how purity in the eyes must be maintained. The tongue also should be kept in purity. James. 1:26. “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.” You have grace, you have a gift and you have a calling, bridle and control your tongue; otherwise you are deceiving yourself that you are serving God. But you are performing vanity. That is what the scripture is saying. If any man among you seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue or controls it not; he deceives himself. For in many things we offend all. The tongue is a little member but it is set on a fire of hell. Do not allow yourself to go to hell because of this little member of your body. Thought for the day: Control all your sense organs not to sin. Song for the day: My body is Your sanctuary (2x), purify me like gold …. Bible reading for the day: 1 Chronicles 20-22; John 10:22-42 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
