WORLDLINESS TO BE AVOIDED IN CHRISTIAN DRESSING

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: WORLDLINESS TO BE AVOIDED IN CHRISTIAN DRESSING

TEXT: 1 PETER 3:2-5

MONDAY NOVEMBER 27TH

Key verse: 1 Timothy 2: 9 "In like manner also that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;”
The word "gold" in the reading text and key verse above means jewelry, which is a collective word for earrings, rings, nose rings, chains, necklaces, bracelets: and items of ornamentation or bodily decoration. Holy women of old times did not adorn themselves with items of beauty and worldliness which were prevalent among the backsliders and ungodly society of their day. They clothed themselves with meekness, quiet spirit, and holiness, which is in the sight of God of great price. They were modest in outward appearance. To adorn yourself with ungodly things makes you unholy before God. Today there are children of God, even men and women of God, who use earrings, nose jewels, chains, necklaces, and rings. These things hinder them from being truly holy in the sight of God. Humble yourself and remove them and do not risk your eternal soul by vain arguments.
Cleanse yourself from all forms of worldliness and worldly adornment, such as palming or jerry curling of the hair, use of hair attachment, mini-skirts, split-skirts, armpit-exposing blouses; keeping long nails, painting of face, lips, and nails; wearing of wigs; and whatever Satan introduces into the world to defile the holiness of God's children. God has given to us the full revelation of His word and will. We should not consider the case of any Old Testament character as an excuse to obeying the full word of God. Never take shelter under the teaching or outward appearance of any man or woman of God which does not conform to the standard of God's word. They shall not stand for you, but for themselves before God in that day. Men should neither put on women's clothing nor do their hair like women. If a man adopts the hairdo of women, he is an abomination unto the Lord. The believer's haircut must not be according to the fashion of the world. The woman also must not have a haircut like a man. The Bible says it is a shame to the woman to be shorn.

Thought for the day: Cleanse yourself from all forms of worldly adornment.

Song for the day: Take the whole world and give me Jesus

Bible reading for the day: Ezekiel 38-39; 1 Peter 4

THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS

REMAIN BLESSED AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD. THURSDAY 30 DECEMBER THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS TEXT: NUMBERS 14: 26-31  Key verse: Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many  be called, but few chosen. Completion of the angelic message: The Lord continued. “Because of this mandate given to you, I am removing around you the uncircumcised leaders. I am going to fill their place with righteous and holy leaders from various nations and races.” Truly I had pondered if any minister has suffered like this. People I loved, cherished and lived peacefully with suddenly began to speak evil against me to my shock. Well, it happens in politics, but is limited to their countries, whereas mine is international! Yes, some ministers may have suffered these things, but that was before the advent of the Internet, so their sufferings were limited. Maybe through letters or newspapers for a limited time, but my own is in the world of the I...
