TOPIC: ARTICLES FOR BEAUTY CONDEMNED IN SCRIPTURES

TEXT: NUMBERS 31:49-51

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11tH

Key verse: Zephaniah 1:8 “And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel”
Christians are holy people worshipping the holy God. Those who have not attained this standard are regarded as unholy Christians. Which category do you belong to? Unholy Christians lack complete knowledge of the word of God and are full of arguments. The holy ones understand God’s demands and do all to comply with them. They are conscious of the coming of the Lord and moderate their lifestyle; not willing to offend God. In line with God’s warning against Christians exposing their nakedness through ungodly dressing and adornment which give rise to lust and immorality in society, they avoid dressing according to the custom or style of the world which is against the modesty required by the scripture.
The following articles for artificial beauty are condemned by the scripture: Jewels of gold, chains, bracelets, rings, including wedding rings, nose rings, earrings, and tablets. Fixing them is unclean regardless of their costs. Besides, who asked you to perforate your ears? Other evil practices include bleaching, fixing false nails, false hair, eyelashes, painting lips, eyebrows, nails, and face, adding wool to make your hair look big, keeping long nails, wearing perforated lace and see-through dresses, tight-fitting dresses or body hug and women wearing trousers.
Zephaniah 1:8 “And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel”. Repent and change your garments from strange ones. If you say there are women's trousers, does it mean there are men’s head ties or brassier? Mothers should avoid putting ungodly attires on their children in the quest to make them beautiful. Don’t perforate their ears to fix earrings on them. Don’t bleach their skin or fix wool on their hair; they are abomination in the sight of God.

Thought for the day: Repent and change your strange garments to godly ones

Song for the day: Purify me, sanctify me, purify me, O Lord

Bible reading for the day: Lamentations 3-5; Hebrews 8

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
