  *WHERE IS HIS HONOUR?*

_It is advisable you read the text first_

📜TEXT:MALACHI 1:6-14📜

🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I am a father, where is mine honor? and if I am a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?" (MALACHI 1:6).*_

Most nations and groups around the world have a culture of respect for different categories of people within the society. Rulers, parents, and the elderly are especially accorded so much respect. This show of respect is displayed not only in greetings and the way they are spoken to but also in the way they are treated generally. For instance, if the ruler among the people is to be presented with any gift, the best is usually given no matter the disposition and status of the giver.

If mortal men are treated with so much honor and respect, God deserves more. The children of Israel however, from our passage, seemed to have lost all their honor and respect for God. It is even sadder that their priests and leaders treated God with much contempt. They disregarded the laws of God and showed no respect to Him as Father. They desecrated the worship of the Lord and offered animals with blemishes on the altar, giving God what may be termed as their leftovers and not good enough for their human kings and leaders. Displeased with these acts of disrespect and profanity, God placed a curse on them.

We still find these acts of dishonor and disrespect to God among many today. People show total disregard for Him and His word by shunning His counsel and disobeying His commands. Even in worship, so many people dishonor God. The best of their time all through the week is given in pursuit of their interest while they grudgingly manage to give God a few hours on Sundays.

If rulers of the world would engage the best in their territories to serve in their royal courts, the King of kings should have the best of us serving in His vineyard. He deserves the best that we have. We need to reconsider our ways and repent of every act of disrespect and dishonor we may have been showing toward God. He is our Father, Lord, and King; and He deserves that we honor Him as such.

*How God is dishonored*

God's probing question is how do we act or give to God what we cannot do or give men that we honor?

1. Polluted offerings cannot be given to kings. Why do we give to God corrupted offerings of worship, gifts from questionable sources, etc that are tainted with carnality to God? v6. Do we think He does not see or ponder about it? Should a man be more honored than God? vv7,8.
2. Giving anything less than perfect in our consecration and service is a dishonor to God because man will always like to give the best to those they honor,  v8. Or do we think God does not care? God says He cares🤷‍♂️
3. If a man does not give regard to God that worths His greatness, He we not giveregardards that we may desperately need, v9. Can you see why some prayers receive no answer from God?
4. God said "He had no pleasure in them" and it was better there was no sacrifice than giving defective sacrifices, v10. God will not accept offerings or sacrifices that do not befit His greatness and the King of the whole earth, v11. How many people today think they are serving God and God said He does not have pleasure in them?
5. There is a curse of God on any who in the ows the best things to give to God but decided to give something less than the best, v14. God have mercy 🤔

*Questions*

b. Do you g of the best to the Master in all these areas?
c. Do you give the best of your time in the day to have fellowship with God?
d. Do you give your service to mana as a priority compared to God?
e. Is your worship, gifts, life, and service done in the perfection of holiness, or are tainted with impure motives, thou, sights, and activities?

*Prayer points*

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
