IS YOUR CHURCH PRACTICING CHRIST’S DOCTRINES

God bless you for taking your time to study.

IS YOUR CHURCH PRACTICING CHRIST’S DOCTRINES?
TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 4:13-16

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 17th

Key verse: 1 Timothy 4:16 “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee”
Doctrines are teachings that are given to men in the church to guide their activities. In the case of a country, this is called a decree or constitution. The church is guided by doctrines that can bring out righteousness in men and make them qualify for heaven. The unity of the church is possible if the doctrines of Jesus Christ are stressed in all denominations. Where the people are told to come together but to put away the doctrines cannot be for Christ: Strange spirit will be in operation in such meeting. Some will come to that meeting bare-footed, half-naked, some men wearing caps, women in trousers and uncovered heads. People with two wives, jewelry, chains, and attachments will be in such meetings. Is that a Christian meeting? Of course, No. Wherever you see these, know that the true teaching is not there and whatever they do there cannot qualify men for heaven.
The church must rid itself of bad doctrines: Doctrines of men which lay aside the commandment of God and promote the tradition of men; Doctrines of devils that cause men to depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; Doctrines of backslidden and unholy ministers that exalt idolatry and immorality in the church; and Doctrines of vanity that shift the faith of the people from their Creator to idols and substances. What then is the good doctrine of God? The doctrine of Jesus includes Repentance and baptism in water and teaching converts to observe all things whatsoever Jesus has commanded. The apostles’ doctrines were according to Christ’s. Paul taught the same thing and passed it to Timothy and others and told them to follow him as he followed Christ. Desist from practicing doctrines of errors in your denomination. Note that sound doctrines produce godliness and build the church on truth, righteousness, and holiness.

Thought for the day: Doctrines are meant to give salvation and save the church

Song for the day: Give me that old-time religion

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
