ADOPTION OF CHILDREN

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: ADOPTION OF CHILDREN

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 10th

TEXT: Romans 8:15-17; Ephesians 1:5
Key verse: But as many as receive Him, to them gave He power to become sons of God, even to them that believe in his name. John 1:12
Adoption means to accept or claim ownership or parenthood of a child that is not directly one’s biological child. This makes the child enjoy the benefit of parenthood throughout his/her life. He/she is your child and heir as any of your children. Adoption is good and acceptable in the sight of God. We were not children of God, but He made us become part of His family not through the natural process of human conception, but through adoption. Bringing a person into a family using adoption is done by choice and out of love.
Our Lord Jesus was adopted by Joseph, His mother’s husband, who took Him as his child. God chose that His Son should be adopted. If adoption was good enough for the Son of God, then it is a blessing for His people. Moses, a great prophet of God, whom God used to bring out His people from Egypt was adopted by Pharaoh's daughter. God used Esther to deliver His people; she was adopted by her uncle Mordecai. Also, Samuel who judged and led God’s people to worship Him was fostered by Eli.
Adoption is a blessed practice because it is a biblical principle by which we became children of God (Ephesians 1:5); God fulfills His promise of giving children to the barren, Psalms 113:9, “He maketh the barren women to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD”. By it, God shows compassion to the fatherless on earth. Also, it is a soul-winning strategy when the adopting parents are believers, it also fulfills the definition of religion (James 1: 27). Furthermore, it is victory in spiritual warfare against the devil, whose aim is to steal, kill, and destroy people who are childless by making them restless.

Thought for the day: Adoption into the family should be done willingly and out of love.

Song for the day: We are heirs of the Father. We are joint heirs with the Son...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
