DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

20TH WEDNESDAY APRIL

GOD DEMANDS TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO HIS HUMAN ORDAINED LEADERS.

TEXT: JOSHUA 1: 16 – 18
KEY VERSE: HEBREW 13: 17 “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you”
In Israel when there was no king everyone did what he wanted. God ordained human leaders to lead and ensure orderliness. The following are other reasons why God demands total obedience to His ordained leaders:
• They are His Representative: God requires that our obedience to His ordained human leaders must be total, complete and wholesome, without any resistance as long as it is in the course of God and righteousness. God passes through them as He passed through Moses to instruct your life.
• Total Obedience To Leadership Facilitates God’s Work: In today’s text, the people of Israel said unto Joshua all that you are going to say we will do and where you send us we shall go. As they did, Joshua succeeded. It is in such submission that there can be progress in the church and the vision of God given to the leaders can be materialized. Whatever the Pastor instructs, you will do because you believe that God is with him, amen.
• Your Leader will Give Account on You to God: It is scriptural that you obey them that have rule over you and submit yourself because they watch over your soul and must give account on you to God. Don’t make your leader sorrowful as it will not profit you as a holy believer on the way to Heaven.
• God Mandates Them to Give Complete Message to His Flock: Your support and prayer will enable them to be protected from the evil infiltration and they will be able to make known the mystery of the gospel not only to you but the whole flock of God.
Joshua 1:16-18
16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the Lord thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
18 Whosoever he is that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of good courage.
Thought for the day: Total obedience to God’s ordained leaders facilitates progress in the church.

Song for the day: Give me the grace to follow, abundant grace to follow, sufficient……

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
