WE ARE THE ADOPTED SONS AFTER JESUS THE BEGOTTEN SON

For taking your time to study remain blessed.
June Thursday 11th
TOPIC: WE ARE THE ADOPTED SONS AFTER JESUS THE BEGOTTEN SON
TEXT: 1 John 5:10-13
Key verse: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Many people misunderstand this term or the description given to Jesus as the Son of God. Some reject Him because of this title. The Islamic religion in particular contend against this title saying God cannot have a Son. This has been an obstacle on the way of many because without believing this eternal truth, they cannot believe in Jesus and be saved. Even among the Christians, many are still confused about this title but you need to understand clearly that while it is affirmed that we have one God, Jesus being the Son of God does not mean Jesus Himself is not God.
When the title “Son of God” is used with respect to Jesus, it does not connote the same meaning as children being born by human parents or by a man impregnating his wife. This title specifically refers to one born, not by the will of man, but by the will of God. It is equally used of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13). Not born through copulation or sexual union between a man and a woman. Rather, they were people God fashioned and bought for Himself. Therefore, everyone that believes in Christ is an adopted son of God. Our sonship is adoption, which is quite unlike the status of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God.
“Adopted” means our father was not originally God. You had a father, Satan, who was chief sinner. Through his corruptive influence, sin entered your life. That was why you were a sinner. But when you believed in Christ, God by His mercy adopted you as His son. You received the Spirit of adoption giving you right to this one Father. Now, you can call on the true God and serve Him. But, if you don’t continue with Him in truth, righteousness and holiness, you will go back to your original father, Satan. You had a father but God chose to pick you. If you fail to continue to comply with the conditions for your adoption, God will release you back to Satan.
Thought for the day: Everyone that believes in Christ is an adopted son of God
Song for the day: I have a Father, Almighty Father….
Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 34-36; John 19:1-22

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
