QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Use Of Laptop or iPad For Preaching)
TEXT: Nehemiah 8: 1-5
KEY VERSE: Nehemiah 8:5 “And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:”
QUESTION: Is it right as a man of God to carry laptop or phone on the pulpit instead of Bible to use it and preach?
ANSWER: Every preacher should study his environment. There is an environment that you can do that and nobody will be offended. It is not seen as a sin to you but there is an environment that you can do that and the people will be offended at you and you have done the wrong thing. So know your environment. Of itself there is no sin there but if you come to a congregation of ignorant people who do not know that there is no sin there and you are pricking their conscience, you are making them to commit sin and you are not working in wisdom and understanding you sin.
However, when you go to a congregation where the people are enlightened and peaceful. Some in the congregation may even ask, “Oh! Can I have a look at your laptop? What software do you use for Bible studies?  Oh that your software how did you get it?” That is an enlightened community. They will not feel that you are committing sin. We need to understand this because whether you like it or not between 5-10 years to come, hard copy Bibles may be replaced by electronic soft copies. That is because of advancement in knowledge and technology all over the world.
You may even discover that Bible publishers and printers might even prefer the electronic softcopies of the Bible. What you will be seeing in the market would be a different thing from the traditional products. You will just have to adjust and also buy them. You know we were using audio cassettes for messages some years ago, but can you readily find it to buy in the market now? They have been systematically phased out by the compact disc (CD) technology. It has now become DVDs, CDs. Yet more developments and discoveries are still ahead of humanity, for the Bible says that in the end times, knowledge shall increase.
Thought for the day: Every preacher should study his environment.
Song for the day: He is everything, Jesus is everything to me………..
Bible reading for the day:
Daniel 3-4; 1 John 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
