QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Calling)
TEXT: 1 Kings 19: 15-21
KEY VERSE: Proverb 11: 14: “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
QUESTION: If you are sensing the call of God and you want to respond, but the circumstances around you seem to be beyond your control. How do you go about it Sir?. Maybe you have seen some signs and that you have come from a family that it will be hard for you to get a sponsor and if possible, you are the one trying to work getting one or two things to take care of your family. So by the time you go in like one year or two years for you to go in the calling, probably, maybe at the period your family will feel neglected if possibly I do not want to say they will not have anything to feed on. I am afraid to say that as of that time you say you want to go into the calling, your family now, they will be left out. In fact there will be nobody to care for them. Even to eat is going to be a problem. So in this aspect as a father, I want to hear from you.
ANSWER:  You want to hear from me whether you should do what? Or is it how to go about it, about your calling you are asking about? If you are sensing the call of God, go to senior ministers to advise you, to check on you and direct you. You will have safety, your family will have safety, your life will have safety but if you move on your own, you will fall, you will affect your family, you will affect your life and that is not the way of God. God has not that will that your family should suffer because He said if you cannot feed your family you are worse than an unbeliever. So take enough counsel so that you know exactly how to do it. God has a way.
Note that there is need to pray very well to discern the voice of God calling you, and know exactly what He is calling you to do for Him. Most of the people coming up with testimonies that God called them were never called by God of heaven to ministry. Some heard the call of the devil due to inordinate ambition, self will and pride. Some called themselves into ministry just because they went through Bible school for some months. What have you known about holiness, righteousness and truth before you go about parading yourself as an apostle? Some due to unemployment in the country see ministry as a means of providing employment. Yet others go into ministry for profit making. To make a name for themselves! For such, their god is their belly.
Thought for the day: Note that there is need to pray very well to discern the voice of God calling you,
Song for the day: When He calls me, I will answer….

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
