TOPIC: WISDOM IS REQUIRED IN SUBMITTING YOUR RESOURCES TO YOUR HUSBAND
TEXT: 1 Samuel 25:2-37
KEY VERSE: Matthew 7: 6 “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
Talking about submission of wife’s resources to her husband, it should be done in wisdom. This is because some wives are married to difficult unbelieving husbands and unbroken believers, who are like dogs and pigs. While wives are commanded to submit to their husbands, wives of such husbands must be cautious in such obedience, otherwise the holiness they are trying to earn or possess by submitting their resources may become polluted or tarnished in the sight of God.
In submitting to such difficult men, sometimes, their actions in return will bring hurts to their wives whereby it causes them to sin. Sometimes when the wife submits all her property in obedience to the word of God, such husbands, like Nabal, Abigail’s husband, can turn back and scatter the Christian life of the wife so much that there will be no more holiness.
For example, a wife submits all her salary to her husband and he refuses to give her any money to feed the family or pay school fees of the children. The man may use all the money to drink, chase women or even to look after his own parents and siblings; or the husband receives all her money but will not give her transport to come to fellowship. He may refuse her taking out her tithes which is God’s portion of money.
In any of these cases, the wife will becomes frustrated and the holiness she is even trying to gain or protect will be lost. It may seem that the more you are trying to submit, the worse your husband is becoming in his wickedness. There is no wisdom in what you are doing. You are not gaining any righteousness, you are losing. You will even be promoting his foolishness.
May the Lord help you to submit totally to your husband, not only your property, but your whole self in every area. Submission of your property alone will not help you if your heart is not submitted as well. Your heart must first be submitted to God who will make your total submission easy for you.
Thought for the day: Submission of resources to your husband should be done in wisdom.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
