TOPIC: REASONS FOR OUR CONFIDENCE
TEXT: 1 John 5: 14, 15
Key verse:   Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Why are we confident that God will answer when we pray? It is because of:

(1) The Testimonies of the Bible. God answered the prayers of Bible saints.  That gives us confidence today that He will answer our prayers too.  Psalm 65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come.

(2)  The Historical Testimonies. These refer to the testimonies that we have heard from the history of Christianity up to our time. We have heard how God intervened in people’s lives and families; how God answered prayers over the Church, societies and nations. That gives us the confidence that God will answer our prayers too.

(3) Contemporary Testimonies. These refer to testimonies of our fellow brothers and sisters - the ones we are witnesses to. They testify to our hearing that God answers their prayers. This gives us assurance that God will answer our prayers too.

(4) Our Past Testimonies. Even we ourselves have testimonies of answered prayers. In the hard circumstances of our lives, during the difficult situations we passed through; we prayed, we called upon God and the Lord answered. That gives us assurance for present requests that they will receive similar attention from God. Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Thought for the day: Your confidence in God is not misplaced.
Song for the day: Jesus, I have confidence in You, any time anywhere, I have confidence…
Bible reading for the day:
2 Chronicles 17-19; John 15

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
