TOPIC: STOP APPLAUDING SINNERS IN THE CHURCH
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 5:1-5
KEY VERSE: 1Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.

When you celebrate sinners in the church, you have failed in your faithfulness to Christ. You have abandoned holiness and yielded to flesh to rule.  That is why you see half-nudity and rough dressing in the church and see nothing wrong with it. Your youths now dress in seductive and provocative manner without any sense of shame or remorse. Even your choir members who claim to be leading praises to a holy God have lost their senses.

Sometime ago we were on evangelical mission to Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. I was ministering on a raised platform and the choir members sat behind me. They were putting on short open skirts that left their legs open like the mouth of frogs. Jesus appeared there and talked to one of the ministers that went with me. He pointed His hand to the stage and said, “Can you see those girls?” Then Jesus shifted his gaze to another direction, “Look at that man there.” My minister looked at the man and noticed that the man was in total darkness. Jesus said, “It is because of those girls; they have overtaking him in temptation.” Jesus continued, “Look at the other one also.” As he looked, the man was also in total darkness. Jesus pointed to other people in the congregation that had gone into darkness. Jesus said, “They were not in darkness before, it is this nakedness at the stage that made them to be in darkness.” Jesus said angrily, “I will deal with them. I will deal with them.” Are these the people you are allowing to come and sing in the church? You are allowing nakedness in the church? You are allowing ruffian male singers with funny hairdos to sing in your choir?  They sing and you all clap your hands? All of you are going to hell. You have disappointed Jesus. A word is enough for the wise. Today, I am praying that you will change and influence the change in your church so that your church will begin to live up to the standard of God and stop embarrassing Jesus and bringing shame to His holy name. Amen.

Thought for the day: When you condone sin in church, you strengthen the hand of Satan to fight against God’s kingdom on earth.
Song for the day: The church is marching on, the gates of hell shall not prevail
Bible reading for the day:
Job 1-3; Acts 7:1-19

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
