THE TRUTH ABOUT HELL
FRIDAY JANUARY 6
TEXT: ULKE 16: 19-31
Key Verse: “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” Luke 12: 4-5
Various people have various beliefs about hell. Some say God is too good and too merciful to put man in hell. There are some people and some religions that teach that when man dies he goes to the grave and remains there. While some other religions also believe that hell is a temporary place of torment where God puts disobedient children and after a time brings them out, but will not leave them there eternally. But the question is does hell really exist? What does the bible say about hell? The fact that, many people have diverse beliefs about the reality of hell will not change the truth of God about hell. The devil is the one bringing about these diverse beliefs to cause men to be comfortable in sin and not fear eternal damnation of their souls in hell fire and amend their ways before it is too late.
The truth is that hell exists because the bible confirms its existence as we have seen in our text and key verse above. The story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-26 reveals that hell is real. Several scriptures show that hell is underneath the earth. Hell fire keeps all those who die as sinners, backsliders and all those who rejected Jesus Christ, who practice other religions, who believe in other prophets or other messiah apart from Jesus Christ. Hell accommodates them now, they go to hell now, sinners and hypocrites in churches who die without repentance go to hell now. They shall be tormented in hell fire until the day they shall be brought out and judge by the great judge the Lord Jesus Himself. He shall judge them according to their works, after the Judgment they shall be condemned into the lake of fire, the second death. Hell fire itself shall be cast into the lake of fire, Satan and his demons shall be cast into the lake of fire and they shall be tormented forever and ever.
Thought for the day: Amend your ways now before it is too late.
Song for the day: Eternal, eternal life (x2) I want to live eternal life, God save my soul. . .
Bible reading for the day: Genesis 15-17; Matthew 5:27-48

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
