VICTORY OVER THE POWERS OF DARKNESS THURSDAY JANUARY 26 TEXT: LUKE 10:17-20, EPHESIANS 6:10-18 Key verse: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:17. The powers of darkness refers to: the power of the enemy, the power of evil spirits or demon spirits, principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, powers of witches and wizards, powers of occult, magic, spiritualists, etc.. Our Lord Jesus Christ defeated Satan and overcame all these powers of darkness. He prevailed and triumphed over them in life, in death and in His resurrection. Through Him every believer has been given the promise and guarantee for victory over all the powers of darkness. The Lord has promised total victory over all powers of darkness to every one of His children. No believer in Christ should be a victim to these conquered foes. Satan knows that Christ has defeated him. And when believers abide in Christ and his word in righteousness and holiness, Satan with all his agents will have no power over them. Every believer can enjoy constant victory over the powers of darkness and even minister to others through: The power of the indwelling Christ, power in the blood of Christ, power in the Name of Christ, power of the written word of God, power of the abiding presence of Christ, faith in the promises of God, power of prevailing prayer, putting on the whole armor of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. The devils were subject to the disciples of Christ because of the power Christ gave them. They were not to only rejoice for that but to rejoice because their names were written in the book of life. From the life and ministry of Christ it could be established that to possess all the victory over the powers of darkness, one has to: Be sure he is born again and to be sure he/she is living a clean, blameless, righteous and holy life. If all these are in place in your life, then all that remains in you to possess victory is as simple as A, B, C. Appropriate all the promises to yourself. Believe in the presence and power of God to deliver you as you claim victory in Christ. Thought for the day: Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world. Song for the day: Jehovah is Your name (2x), mighty Warrior, great in battle, Jehovah is Your name… Bible reading for the day Exodus 11-12 Matthew 18:12-36 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
