PERSONAL EVANGELISM TUESDAY JANUARY 31 TEXT: MATTHEW 9:35-38, JOHN 4:5-29 Key verse: “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” Matthew 9:38. Personal evangelism is the art of person-to-person sharing of the gospel of Christ with sinners, with the aim of leading them to salvation. The primary purpose of Christ’s coming into the world was to die for the salvation of man. He came to seek and to save the lost. He used different approaches to reach different people; With Nicodemus, Christ used a direct approach: “Ye must be born again.”With the Samaritan woman, He used an indirect approach: “Give me to drink.”With the woman caught in adultery, He used a situational approach. Jesus reached out to His twelve disciples whom He called apostles through personal evangelism. No other business should thrill the heart of a believer than personal evangelism. Winning the lost is a task that must be done; failure to carry it out carries great consequences. The implication of neglecting personal evangelism includes; The loss and waste of ripened harvest; Requirement of sinners’ blood from negligent soul winners; Christ being ashamed of Christians that neglect to witness; Loss of soul winners’ reward; Spiritual decline and stunted growth of the local churches and Delay in answer to prayers. The Lord Jesus Christ was not only involved in personal evangelism but also sent out His disciples to do so. It is an obligation for every believer to personally bear witness of Christ, the task is urgent in view of; Shortness of time, The brevity of life, Reality of eternal judgment of the lost, The need for believers to be free from the blood of all men. Concern for our loved ones, members of our families, tribesmen, friends, co-workers and neighbours requires us to witness to them. The vastness of the harvest field that is waiting for labourers should compel us to assist before they are wasted. Personal evangelism requires individual commitment. Believers must be determined to preach to all men till the end of their lives on earth. In spite of trials, hardship and afflictions, a soul winner must never give up. Every spiritual effort must be made in order to sustain the zeal and fire for personal evangelism. Thought for the day: Commitment is being devoted to a given cause until the goal is achieved. Song for the day: I will make you fishers of men, fishers of men, fishers of men… Bible reading for the day: Exodus 25-26; Matthew 21:1-22 #horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
