Avoid The Weird Dance In Churches

Saturday 16th May

Text: Psalms 150:6 “Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
From the early church until recent time, Christian worship service had been a sober and solemn moment. Emphasis had been on a heart receiving grace from God and giving adoration to Him. All attention was focused on God in the songs, sermons, prayers and other activities. The flesh was not given a place to exercise itself in dancing. Sinners who came to church, came with soberness and bore the consciousness and guilt of their sins as they sat in the presence of the Lord. The preachers preached solemnly, with firm commitment to communicate the mind of God to the people. Yet the worshipers’ service was lively, inspiring and joyful. The heart was made glad by the word of God, the presence of God and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. The smiles, laughter, clapping of hands, shouts and cries of the worshippers were not mechanical or philosophical, but Spirit-inspired. The converts were genuine. Righteousness and holiness reigned. But in recent time, a new wave rolled into the church. Christians’ worship activity now is being coated with dances. This is tagged praise worship. The dance which is being practiced is the weird type. Both men and women, ministers and members, adults and children, are engaged in this dance. The scripture they used for this weird dance is the one in consideration, David’s dance. Having considered the text of David’s dance, we see the great error these churches and their ministers are in and how impossible to attain to the holiness of God with such practice. Emphasis now shifts to music, musical instruments, singing and dancing. Little time goes for prayers and ministry of God’s word. The ministers and member wear mechanical joy and are musically excited! The proof of spirituality in the church today is not righteous character but some particular styles of body movement in dances. Surely, David would deny that the church of the present generation is following after his steps in their weird dance, because he danced only once in his lifetime and that by complete inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Let those who engaged in these dances know that they are sinning and so must repent before the judgment of the Lord comes upon them.

Thought For The Day: Dancing now forms a major part of church worship service.

Song For The Day: Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One…

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
