PERIL OF IGNORANCE AMONG PASTORS

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: PERIL OF IGNORANCE AMONG PASTORS

TEXT: ACTS 18:24-28.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD

Key verse: Acts 18: 26: And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
Question: What is the fate of pastors who are sincerely ignorant of the holiness standard of God?
Apollos was a humble man; a sincere preacher that loved God but an ignorant one. He was not teaching the full word of God; what he knew he did well, but he did not do much. Aquila and Priscilla had come across him and they called him and said come. We love your zeal and what you are doing but we want to perfect you. This man only knew the baptism of John. He was talking to people to repent of their sins and turn to righteousness but he was not aware of Jesus because he knew only the baptism of John. John was baptized to show Christ’s coming so that people would turn to Him but Apollos did not know that Jesus had come. So, Aquila and Priscilla called him and talked to him; they presented to him the way of the Lord more perfectly. He was so humble; he learned and went to the churches of Christ as they directed him. Having known the scriptures, he mightily convinced the Jews proving by the scripture the lordship of Christ.
Some pastors are wolves in sheep's clothing; they are out to destroy. They are too proud and do not want to learn. They only go by name; General Overseer, General Superintendent, Archbishop but full of ignorance. How many Bishops do we have in Nigeria? With that they are not ready to listen; they are not ready to learn and that is why they are scattering the sheep. All those that are under them are perishing. See the difference compared with Apollos. He is doing wrong; If he has a sincere heart and you get the correct material to him, or if you have a chance to carry the correct material to discuss with him, you will change him as Apollos was changed and the word of God will move forward. He will do much for Jesus Christ. Amen.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
