GET YOURSELF PREPARED BEFORE MARRIAGE

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: GET YOURSELF PREPARED BEFORE MARRIAGE

TEXT: JOHN 2:1-11

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 13TH

Key verse: Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
God is interested in marriage. Jesus performed His first miracle at a wedding in Cana. The intending couples are to make necessary preparations before the wedding. Among other things, the brother must have a suitable accommodation of at least one room equipped with household materials, such as a bed, bedspreads, pillows, chairs, stove or cooker, kettle, cooking pots, plates, cutleries, etc. The marriage committee (mc) should ensure the suitability of the proposed accommodation before the wedding day is fixed. The MC is expected to carry out a physical inspection. The would-be bride should have enough dresses and things pertaining to women.
Preparation should start once a brother is mature for marriage; even before visiting the mc. A house with a sitting room, a bedroom, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, and store should be the vision of any brother who is old enough for marriage. Work towards it. The would-be bride is expected to be a woman of resource while the husband-to-be must of necessity be gainfully employed so that they do not become a liability to the church or family members after their wedding.
The intending couples are to appear before the MC some weeks before the wedding for a final interview to determine whether the ceremony will be held or not. God’s glory should be the priority of the couple. The wedding program and wedding dress must conform to the approved pattern. Nothing extra should be used on the wedding day by the bride and groom who have not received approval from the marriage committee (mc). The MC should not approve anything that has not received the approval of the International Director. The intending couple can invite as many people as they wish, not for pride but to preach to sinners and edify believers.

Thought for the day: Go about your wedding in a way that will bring glory to God.

Song for the day: Jesus must be honored, must be honored (2x) …

Bible reading for the day: Proverbs 23-24; 2 Corinthians 5

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
