OTHERS MAY; I CANNOT

God's blessings shall follow you, for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: OTHERS MAY; I CANNOT

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH

TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 5: 21-24
Key verse: Genesis 3:21: Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins and clothed them.
Question: Is it proper for a Christian tailor to collect trousers from an unbeliever for amendment or sew an open-back or show-breasts for unbelievers?
Answer: It is not proper. I appreciate this type of question. Tailors should not sew any cloth that will make women stumbling blocks to children of God. They are partakers of the sins of those people. So, a tailor must reject any cloth that does not conform to the standard of righteousness. Although some may say, ‘If I do so where will I find my food?’ What shall it profit you if you can eat all the food and go to hell? Trust God to feed you. He will bring true customers to you or else give you another business. God can do that.
Comments by questioner: Genesis 3:21 talks about the purpose why God made clothing; to cover the nakedness of man. However, we are in a changing world and it seems that most believers are changing with the changing world. Most especially in this area of the dressing standard of attire. Most sisters used to wear clothes that covered their nakedness but the new generation of sisters now open their chests and their backs. It has become a general practice that is corrupting the children of God. So, I want us to emphasize that area because personally, it disturbs my heart.
Answer: You have added to it and they have heard you.
Question: Is it advisable to use a body cream that is not bleaching? Is it right to direct people to those that sell cosmetics?
Answer: Yes, it makes you appear decent and you are not a laughingstock. You are not achieving anything other than making white skin and crack look decent and nothing other than that. Once you know the cosmetic you are directing them to, it is the wicked type you are not to do that.

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
