GOD IS GREAT

God bless you for taking the time to study

TOPIC: GOD IS GREAT

THURSDAY
JANUARY 19th

TEXT: MATTHEW 8: 5-13
Key verse: “Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”. Luke 5:4
The person that made these promises is too great to be overlooked by you.  Heaven and earth have known and recognized Him to be great. Looking at the nature of the person that made the promises, can you distrust Him?  It is God that told you that He will do what He said He will do. Because of His Person, believe what He told you. Act on what He says and wait for His promises. The Centurion saw the dignity, personality and the greatness of Jesus. He caught a revelation on the divinity of Jesus. He knew and understood Jesus’ authority.
Hence, he said, Lord, you don’t need to go all the way to my house.  Just speak a word only and I will believe you and it shall be done. I know Your Omnipotence and I also know that distance cannot be a barrier between your word and where my servant is. I believe in your authority. Do you have the same conviction on the divinity and omnipotence of God? If yes, the Holy Ghost that has given you that conviction. This is the reason you should believe and count it done. Your freedom will truly come and you will sit down and relax with your testimonies. Don’t mind the time it may take for you to actually see what you have believed. As long as it is God that said it, it is done.
This is what Apostle Peter was actually saying, Master, we have utilized all professional skills of fishing that we have, yet there was no result to show. However, since you are omniscient and you have spoken, I will obey you. I have known so much about you. I have known what you are capable of doing and have witnessed you doing them. I have known your word never fails. Since you are the one telling me to do it, I will do it.  God will stand by you and ensure nothing hurts you. Jehovah is the one assuring you and because He is God, don’t bother about man’s contrary opinion. Don’t bother about those mountains standing before you. Don’t even bother about Satan. Be calm and peaceful because the all-knowing, great God has spoken.

Thought for the day: Understand God and be calm in the face of difficulties.

Song for the day: Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised

Bible reading for the day: Genesis 44-45; Matthew 14:1-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
