THURSDAY JUNE 30TH

TOPIC: PRAISE GOD IN TIMES OF DIFFICULTY.

TEXT: JOB 1:20-22

KEY VERSE: John 2:5 “His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever He saith unto you, do it.”
Praise and thanksgiving is God’s command and is expected from believers when things are tough and difficult. Some believers find it so difficult to do this and they ask, “Should God be praised for what Satan has done?” Some think the evil has come from God; then why should praise and thanksgiving be the response at such time? Their mind is dark and their understanding is unfruitful.
The wise thing to do is to obey the command of the scripture in difficult times: Praise God. Thank God. Worship God. God wants us to learn from the life of Job. He praised and worshipped God in the worst situation of his life. His wife wondered at such an attitude. Our situation may not be as terrible as Jobs. If he praised and worshipped God in times of his calamities, we too can praise God in our dark days.
Job 1:20-21
20 “Then Job arise, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell upon the ground and worshipped.
21. “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away: blessed be the name of the LORD.
By this Job gave Satan a great blow, frustration, and defeat. Job did not turn his eyes from God to Satan. He did not mention nor complain of Satan. His eyes were on God. His praise and worship of God remained steadfast. To Job, God was all in all. Satan could have no access to his life, except by God’s permission. If God allowed Satan to afflict him, then it must be for a reason. In all his afflictions Job saw Satan as secondary and subject to God.

Thought for the day: Do not allow Satan to fill your mouth with his name.

Song for the day: We are victorious, yes we are victorious …

Bible reading for the day: Job 19-20; Acts 9:23-43.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
