SEEK THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD REMAIN BLESSED

TOPIC: SEEK THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

DATE: WEDNESDAY JUNE 16

TEXT: Acts 2: 1-8

Key verse: Acts 1: 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Every person who is born again has the Holy Spirit in him or her because the Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of Christ. All believers have the Holy Spirit in them.
However, not all believers are baptized with the Holy Spirit. What the Holy Spirit does in the baptismal measure is to put His power into a believer.

Romans 8: 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The key verse refers to believers waiting for the Holy Spirit’s coming from heaven. Now in our times, the Holy Spirit is already on earth, He is not coming from heaven. In their time two things happened: the Spirit descended on them and His power-filled them as they were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

In our time the Spirit is already in us, He doesn’t need to descend from heaven. What is required for baptism is the power of the Holy Spirit. Although a reference is made in a question, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?

This specifically refers to the baptism of the Holy Ghost and does not imply that some believers do not have the Holy Ghost. This is clear because after Paul ministered to them, they were baptized in the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues.

Every believer has to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate experience after salvation. When a believer is baptized in the Holy Ghost, the evidence is speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit moves you. Speaking in tongues is not evidence that you have the Spirit of God inside you, but is the evidence that you are baptized in the Holy Ghost.

This Christian experience is for all believers in Christ Jesus. It is the promise of the Father for all His children. When the disciples gathered for prayers in the upper room they were all baptized in the Holy Ghost.

Thought for the day: Ask earnestly and God will give you.

Song for the day: Holy Ghost power, power fall on me (2x), As in the days...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
