YOU ARE COMFORTED TO COMFORT OTHERS

FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD REMAIN BLESSED.

TOPIC:  YOU ARE COMFORTED TO COMFORT OTHERS

DATE: FRIDAY JUNE 18

TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 1:1-10

KEY VERSE: “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).

We are commanded by God to minister comfort to one another. If this is done in purity and love, it is a service done unto the Lord. The works of comforting one another are works of love. These are done in words and acts. These works must be rendered to our neighbours as illustrated by the parable of the Good Samaritan and also much more to our brothers and sisters in Christ. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”(Galatians 6:10).

The following scriptural examples show how to embark on this service of comfort to our fellow men.

• Joseph in prison ministered comfort to a fellow prisoner who woke up saddened by a dream he had. That selfless service brought exaltation to him. Let us be concerned when our close ones become suddenly sad. Speak words of kindness, words of hope and encouragement to them according to God's word. Make them trust in God and be peaceful.

• Joseph forgave his guilt-ridden brothers and spoke friendly to them and they were relieved and comforted. Let us comfort those who are guilty, and have offended us by ministering forgiveness and friendly words to them.

• Pharaoh's daughter had compassion for the baby Moses. See what great accomplishment that single act wrought in life.

• Manoah's wife abated the fears of her husband by logical argument. Let us through scriptural reasoning lead people away from fear to faith, and from guilt to assurance.

• Boaz showed kindness to Ruth who was a stranger in the land, who later became his wife. Acts of love to the opposite sex must be in purity.

• Naomi comforted Ruth by promising to assist her in getting a husband.

Let us pray with and counsel those who are in need.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
