TOPIC: SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS UNTOWARD GENERATION OF SINNERS

TEXT: Revelation 18:4-5
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

KEY VERSE: Act 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 

God demands a life of inward and outward holiness void of envy, pride, anger, and all pollutions. You need to learn and possess inward and outward holiness. You must know that jewelry will defile you and that body painting and hair attachment are all articles of lies. 

You even had your doubt about heaven, but you now know the consequences and danger of hellfire. Blessed are your ears for they have heard. You were complaining that there are no original Christians, you believed that all pastors and Christians are the same, but the Lord has now made you see holy people; true people of God. 

Therefore, save yourself. We are in a wicked generation where people don’t know the truth and they don’t want it. Many are not aware of the existence of hellfire. Multitudes are heading to hell; don’t join them. Save yourself! Don’t go back to your vomit, don’t allow anything in this life to overcome you. 

You have been shown the way to heaven, so carry yourself to heaven, follow the way, do it as a personal business. Don’t look at anyone. The understanding and the truth have been given to you.  Move fast for it is an individual race. Don’t be too fearful or lazy to move forward. Value God and work out your salvation. 

Don’t allow any obstacles to pull you back but hold on to Jesus and put your faith in Him. Your flesh may want to resist you; you must resist and subdue your fleshly desires. The time for sin and iniquity is over. 

Those evil associations you have disengaged from may want to threaten you; remember all power belongs to Jesus. So, fear not but embrace this truth and the Lord will give His angels charge over you. Family members can also be an obstacle. The devil may use your spouse to threaten you. 

Your husband may ask you to put back those idolatry properties or the marriage will end. Parents may threaten the lives of young Christians. Other obstacles may include your friends. Never give up but continue with the truth. Again, your denominational church can be a powerful obstacle to your making heaven. 

Many Jews went to hell even when Jesus was among them because of the religious powers of their day. Also, be careful about the nature of your secular job. Don’t allow your job to take you to hell. Don’t live a carefree life. Reject sin and save yourself!
