TOPIC: DO NOT GRIEVE YOUR MARRIAGE PARTNER BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN

TEXT: Matthew 10:37-38

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

KEY VERSE: Ruth 4:15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.

Love your wife as a Christian should do. Do not hate or despise her because she did not bear children for you. Love and cherish her, she will bless your life better than seven sons. You woman, submit to your husband fully. Love and obey him. Do not despise him because he could not get you pregnant. In Christ, he will do in your life both now and for eternity better than what ten sons can do (1 Samuel 1:8).

Do not allow Satan to worsen your case by suggesting that you should seek children through secret adultery or a second marriage. That will mean you love a child more than God. Know that God is aware of your childless situation and it may be His will for you. It may be that God wants somebody to do something more for Him and does not want the burden of marriage on that person. He knows that if the person is free from a marriage he or she will work better for Him.

For example, God’s plan for Paul the apostle was: I do not want you to marry because you have so much work to do. Did it not work for him? It worked! But the world will laugh at a man like that and say, “Look at him; big for nothing! Big man, where is your wife?” The world may mock him, but the Scripture says, he that is married shares his time between God and a woman, but he that is unmarried gives one hundred per cent of his time to God (1 Corinthians 7:32-33).

He has more time to serve God in his lifetime. God is more glorified by him and will greatly reward him. But if Paul never knew the way of God, he would have been living in sorrow and shame. However, since Paul understood his case so well, he was peaceful. Seek to understand the mind of God towards you in your childlessness. This will give you peace and boldness among men. Do not think like the world over matters of children because your life is in the hands of God.

Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in his ways. It may be that God has envisaged the negative effect of children on your calling and He is protecting you against it. But whatever may be the case, be peaceful and keep serving the Lord happily.

Thought for the day: The husband or wife God has given you is better than many sons.

Song for the day: Something more than gold, something more than silver, the Spirit of the Lord in the……

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
