TOPIC: TOUCH NOT THE LORD’S ANOINTED (PART 2)               November Tuesday 5th
TEXT: Numbers 16: 15-27
KEY VERSE: Numbers 16:26 “And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.”
They do not understand the ways of God, hence when people are appointed to the office of leadership and other positions, they always try to analyze qualifications and skills of such elected candidates according to the pattern of the world and not after the operations of the Holy Spirit. They were using their human reasoning to analyze the qualifications of Moses and Aaron; they were not mindful of the many times the Lord had proved his acceptance of Moses by displaying mighty works through him. At the very beginning of his assignment, Moses was interviewed by the elders of Israel; the Lord authenticated His presence with him right there in their presence by turning the rod into a snake, He also proved His presence with Moses by the display of several signs in the land of Egypt.
God confirmed His appointment of Moses through the display of power on the night of Passover when He instructed the Israelites to apply the blood of animals on their door post; this led to their great deliverance from bondage of 430 years. He also demonstrated His power through Moses at the Red Sea, when all hope seemed lost, and the host of Pharaoh had caught up with the Israelites by the Red Sea, by the hands of Moses, God made a way of escape for the people and gave them complete deliverance from their long time captor by giving them a mass burial in the bottom of the Red Sea.  They failed to acknowledge the presence of God with Moses when the He descended upon Mount Sinai and spoke with His servant Moses and handed to him the commandments.
They failed to acknowledge when the Lord God spoke to the people and they could not bear it nut rather pleaded for Moses to stand before God on their behalf to relate to them message God had for them. They chose to ignore all these evidence and follow the dictates of their carnal nature by accusing the man of God as having gone off track. These three were not interested in the purpose and plan of God for His people, all they were interested in was to promote themselves and make their names great, by occupying the office of the high priest. The same evil is still going on in the church of God today, people with uncircumcised hearts, strive for significant positions in the house of God, they have no regards nor respect for the presence of God, nor do they care to maintain or promote peace in the house of the Lord, all they are concerned about is how to elevate themselves and sit in the highest position of honor in the church.
Thought for the day: They promote great division in the house of God.
Song for the day: What a mighty God we serve, Alleluia.....
Bible reading for the day:
Jeremiah 40-42; Hebrews 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
