QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Wearing of Trousers by Women) 
TEXT: Deuteronomy 22:1-12
KEY VERSE: Romans 10:4: “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.”
QUESTION: Why the emphasis that a woman should not wear trouser but not on the other laws in Deuteronomy 22?
ANSWER:
This is part of the law given to the children of Israel. Now we are not in the time of the law. We are in the time of Grace. Christ is the end of the law, the commandments to those who believe. The righteousness of the law says every Israelites must obey these things if you must life but the present righteousness right it in our hearts, the just shall live by faith in God. The present righteousness is not by keeping the Law of Moses but by observing the principles of righteousness and as the result some details of the law that applied to Israel have been abolished. But the principles of righteousness that lived in the Law continue because the Law is written in our conscience. It is now in our hearts. Now we still have to obey it in Christ because it will affect our morality.
Deuteronomy 22:1 Thou shalt not see the brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother. The Bible says he that knoweth what to do and he does not do unto him is sin and again the Lord summarized the scripture all that is required into love. If you know that this is your brother’s child of just one and a half year old that has let the house and is now found in the street and you know this person has missed the mother, this child has missed the father or who ever brought the child out and you leave the child there in the evening and darkness is coming, will you say you are righteous? You are not righteous. The principle of love still holds in Christ. What if it has been your child? So the principle remains which then makes it the moral law of love towards your neighbor.
Deuteronomy 22:5: The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. The use of trousers by women is condemned because it stirs lusts in men and promotes immorality in the society. Based on this fact, this law has not been cancelled because all about the commandments of God is righteousness and holiness.

God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will.
