QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Denominational Doctrines That Hinder True Gospel)
TEXT: Acts 4:18-20;
KEY VERSE: Galatians 1:1 “Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”
QUESTION: Some of our General Overseers normally restrict pastors under them from teaching the whole counsel of God due to their denominational beliefs or personal interests. Now if the General Overseer or Senior Pastor does not allow you to preach holiness what will you do?
ANSWER: Your soul is not accountable to your General Overseer or General Superintendent as the case may be, but you shall render accounts unto God Almighty. Whenever and wherever there seems to be conflict between Divine expectations and demands as against denominational practices traditions of men, you are to always obey God rather than men. You are not under the General Superintendent in the sight of God as far as preaching the truth is concerned. If you have received the Spirit of truth and your eyes have been opened to the high, holy and heavenly requirements of God, then duty demands that you faithfully preach it. You are not preaching for the denominational church or the General Overseer. You are not even preaching for yourself. You are preaching for Jesus. Jesus is the way, the Truth and the life. Now that you have come across Jesus the Truth, will you go and take permission from Jesus before you preach Him? Go ahead and preach truth, righteousness and holiness.
Even if the denominational authorities suspend or chastise you, or out rightly send you out and put you on discipline and the Lord asks you not to go, just still remain there and He will release you from discipline. Go back to the temple and continue preaching. Keep on preaching the truth.  When the Pharisees and Sadducees threatened the apostles, beat them up and imprisoned them, the Lord sent an angel to deliver them, and sent them back to preach the word in that same temple of Jerusalem. Apart from the truth you do not have another gospel somewhere. Preach the truth that others can be saved through you because it is only true that makes the person free. Is that ok, if persecution becomes too much by your General Superintendent then leave the place. If they persecute you in this city, move to another city with the same gospel of righteousness, truth and holiness.
Thought for the day: Your soul is not accountable to your Overseer but to God Almighty.
Song for the day: He can never never change (3x), Jesus the same forever…

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
