TOPIC: PRISCILLA’S STEADFASTNESS TO THE GOSPEL WORK
Friday November 15th
TEXT: 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-19
KEY VERSE: 2 Timothy 4: 19 “Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.”
Priscilla and Aquila continued to work with Paul, until the last day of his ministry work. Paul knew that his service in the gospel work was coming to an end and prepared to meet Jesus Christ in heaven. The scripture references above equally show Priscilla’s steadfastness with her husband in support of the gospel work with Paul, the Apostle to the end. Women in HOREMOW should stand steadfastly in the gospel work with their husbands to the end. In other words, women should be inspirers of their husbands in the gospel work as did Priscilla. God has called the women of HOREMOW to remain steadfast with their husbands in the ministry work. There should be no iota of backsliding in God’s calling. God has put leadership in your hands to support your husband in the ministry.
A story was told of a faithful woman whose husband’s arrest for the preaching of the gospel in a communist country didn’t prevent her from supporting him to the end. The husband was taken to prison and judgment passed on him to deny Jesus or faced a death sentence. As this was going on, the woman requested to see her husband in prison. The woman stood as an inspirer for her husband not to deny Jesus for the sake of upholding their wife-husband relationship. She inspired her husband not to deny Jesus in the prison, but to resist the devil to the end. As the Lord could have it happened, the woman was allowed to see her husband in the prison by the government. She was allowed to visit the prison with the view to persuade her husband to deny Jesus.
On entering the prison, she met with her husband and told him not to deny Jesus irrespective of the awaiting death penalty that was hanging against him if refused to do so. Consequently, the government ordered their execution and were eventually burnt to death. They lost their earthly lives for refusing to deny Jesus but inherited everlasting lives in Christ Jesus. All persuasions failed to convince them to deny Jesus. I pray for such a spirit of persistence to come upon you to stand for Jesus no matter what it takes in obedience to God’s word. In a similar vein, Priscilla and Aquila refused to deny Jesus. They were true disciples of Paul for over three years living in the same house.
Thought for the day: There should be no iota of backsliding in God’s calling.
Song for the day: Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord, and he said here am I send me......
Bible reading for the day:

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
