BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR MARRIAGE BECAUSE OF HEAVEN TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7 TEXT: EPHESIANS 5:21-27 Key Verse: “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Marriage is a relationship entered into here on earth between husband and wife, an institution ordained by God. The head of the house is the man. If the husband is given headship of the house, things will work well. If any woman takes over the headship, it is for her misery. If you are a child of God, woman, return the headship to your husband. God exalted Jesus so that if Jesus receives glory the Father will be glorified: if a man promotes his wife, he shall rejoice, make her happy and you will be happy too. Be patient with her, brother. Jesus said all of my Father’s are mine; I and my father are one. All that belong to you, including money, belongs to your husband. Wife, do not hide money to give your parent because it will be sin to do so. As you make decision, the man is the head and the final authority, where he is wrong, then let him make mistakes, he will learn. With your prayer he will change Take care of your wife and children. Woman, make your contribution and let it not be that you are to be blamed for anything. James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. Confess your sins one to another for heaven’s sake she will be delivered from the spirit of jealousy. To regain your righteousness: Restitute even if marriage ends, you will enter heaven. Things to avoid in marriage include the following: pride arising from money, royal family, beauty; Anger frustrates marriage; Insecurity – hiding each other information or belongings; do not fear each other, fear breads torment; Wild speech – be careful with your tongue and avoid evil association- Evil communication corrupts good manner. God will perfect you and take you to heaven. Thought for the day: Ask God to give you the grace to be the best wife / husband to your spouse.
