Danger Of Ignoring Discipline

Text: 1 Samuel 2: 22-25 
Key verse: Proverbs 23: 13 “Withold not correction from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.”
New converts do not know the way; they sometimes do something else but if you bring discipline, correction, chastisement, rebuke, it will correct them. They are now in Christ and in the church. Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child. But if you say, “No, do not tamper with him because he is a new convert. Do not touch him else you will discourage him, then you are training him in foolishness. When he grows, he shall remain in that life and you cannot change him again. 
Discipline saves a person from hell. If you do not discipline him, you are sending him to hell. If you are afraid of the people or pity and spare them then you are sending them to hell. You will go to hell yourself because you have sent people there. You discipline them so that you too will not be condemned by God. Why was Eli condemned? It was because his children rebelled and were ungodly. He did not discipline and remove them, even after all he heard. This is the reason many today shall be condemned. If you do not change these people; the youths with evil dresses, the girls with tiny skirts, the women with open thighs and other sinful church members, you will never see heaven. Your hell fire will be worse than theirs because the Lord brought the people for you to perfect and correct them but you left them. 
The Bible tells us that a prophet met with King Ahab and said, “I was in the war and a man brought a captive to me and said I should look after him and that if I allowed him go, my life would go for it. In fact, as your servant was busy here and there, I did not know how the person escaped. Oh king what will I do?” Your mouth has spoken it. You allowed that Jezebel in the church. She is now the one controlling it. The character of that woman is so clear that this is Jezebel teaching witchcraft in the church. She has hijacked the church. She is now the one controlling the place and you sit down there as Ahab? Your judgment has been determined by God, because you have sold His church to Jezebel. Why? This is because you cannot stand up and shut out that person. Your inaction has determined your judgment.
