Walk With A Perfect Heart
Tuesday 16 September
Text: Mathew 13: 35 - 37
Key verse: 2 Timothy 3: 17 “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Be resolved to conduct yourself in utmost piety to justify the doctrine of holiness. It is as the people see you manifest the virtues of righteousness that you will have ministerial authority over them. Then, they can submit. When they see you display what you preach, they will follow you; for Christ has given us an example that we should follow His steps. True holiness is the one that issues from a purified heart and the godly leader must seek sanctification experience and maintain it.
His resolve also shows transparency before all in the private or open, in the family and in the church. “I shall be transparent; my works shall be clear. My people shall not find me with fault; I will be transparent.” Paul said, send someone with me to deliver the message that was given to me; the money and material support. We do this so that we should not only have a conscience void of offence towards God but also towards men. That no man blame us of these things which we do.”
I will behave myself in a perfect way. If you oppress the people by using your carnal wisdom, power, and authority to block people from investigating you: it is for your harm. It shows you are not perfect. You are not the leader we desire. You are not transparent. “In a perfect way” means that no envy will be accepted into his heart; 'somebody is doing better than me.” No. No malice is accepted into his heart, and no hatred exists in his heart. No hypocrisy in his life, no gossip in his mouth, no slander against anyone, no evil scheming whatever against anyone.
The righteous and holy leader is a fervent lover of his subjects. A fervent lover of his people. A new commandment I give unto you that ye love one another as I have loved you. I have loved you to the point of you having the privilege to lay on My shoulder. “I have loved you,” so love is the property required, for love covers a multitude of sin. Love in the heart does not permit sin to grow there.
