IMPORTANCE OF WISDOM IN SOUL WINNING

God bless you for taking your time to study.

TOPIC: IMPORTANCE OF WISDOM IN SOUL WINNING

TEXT: PROVERBS 4:5-9

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 4th

Key verse: Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the iron is blunt and he does not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
The Bible makes it known to us the place of wisdom in our Christian living. Wisdom is highly required to preach this gospel and win souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are using a knife that is blunt to peel cassava, it will not be easy. You will put in a lot of effort, and a lot of energy to peel the cassava. You will suffer frustration because the knife is blunt. You have a blunt cutlass and you want to cut grasses or cut down a tree; what a great and fruitless energy you are going to apply. You will get discouraged.
The reason why the churches of God are getting discouraged in evangelism at this time is that “the Iron is blunt.” Instead of burning energy, spending money on outreaches without fruits, and becoming discouraged, sit down, sharpen your knife and you will see yourself performing well. When you see the fruits you will have joy and more interest in evangelism. Therefore you need wisdom because wisdom is profitable to direct.
Look at our field of evangelism. The world is turning away from God because of sinful civilization. The world is full of churches yet there is much argument, resistance, and attack on the truth. Through wisdom, we shall win some to Christ. So apply wisdom. The Bible tells us that he that wins souls must be a wise man.
Daniel 12:2-3 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
Can you see what wisdom can do? If you want to turn the people to righteousness, there must be wisdom.

Thought for the day: Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
