DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

THURSDAY JUNE 9TH

TOPIC: BLESS THE LORD FOR HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS.

TEXT: PSALM 96:1-13
KEY VERSE: Psalm 103:1; “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy name”
The name of the Lord is the same thing as the Personality of the Lord. To praise the name of the Lord means to praise the Lord.
Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, IAM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
Psalm 83:18 “that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, the highest over all the earth”
The name of the Lord is our peace, comfort, and trust. The name of the Lord is our banner and strong tower. The name of the Lord is great and wonderful and is like burning fire and mighty thunder against our enemy. The name of the Lord is most excellent and has the highest authority in Heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth. The name of Jesus is an embodiment of the salvation and blessing of the new covenant: Freedom from sin, healing from sickness, deliverance from Satan, and victory over the world.
The name of Jesus gives us access to the Father: to His grace, power, love, forgiveness, and riches. Through the name of Jesus we receive the Holy Spirit, possess His anointing, power, gift, and calling, and are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. The leader of a great Christian assembly may have a great name among the people, who commend and appreciate him but care must be taken that his name does not overtake the name of the Lord.
The name of Jesus is above all spiritual leaders and their denominations. Do not call the name of our Lord and Saviour in vain. Do not forget the supremacy of the name of Jesus. Promote and worship the name of Jesus. Christian leaders must point their followers to Jesus and discourage them from shifting their focus to them. Some call on the name of Mary. This is idolatry. Only the name of Jesus gives salvation to humanity.
Psalm 96:7-9
7 Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
8 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering and come into his courts.
9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Thought for the day: Jesus’ name is above all names. Honor and reverence Him.

Song for the day: Jesus we enthrone You, we proclaim You are king.

Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 29-31; John 18:1-23

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
