DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

FRIDAY JUNE 17TH

TOPIC: CHURCH DANCE, AN INTRODUCTION TO THE LATE 21ST CENTURY.

TEXT: MATTHEW 13:24-25

KEY VERSE: Psalm 50:21 “These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself, but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.”
The solemn feasts and ceremonies of the Old Testament were celebrated in the worship of God without dancing. Dancing was not observed in the ministry of Jesus. Jesus rejoiced in the presence of His disciples, Luke 10:21; and sang a hymn with His disciples, Matthew 20:30, but there was no record of dancing, neither of Himself or that of His disciples. The worship activity of New Testament churches in Jerusalem, Antioch, and other places did not record dancing, but the ministry of the word, prayers, spiritual gifts, and breaking of bread.
The source of the present wild dance in the church of Christ today is questionable. Hymn writers of different ages have composed hymns on every aspect of the Christian life, I am yet to see hymns encouraging bodily dance in worship of God. The scripture prophesied the darkness and decay that will envelop the church in the last days, leading to apostasy. This darkness and decay took hold of the church through the introduction of strange fire and the doctrine of devils. The church has become a place of noise-making, musical excitement, and unrestrained happiness for believers and sinners. Is this dancing then of the Holy Spirit?
Matthew 13:24-26
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Today, many preachers preach less and sing more to entertain the audience. The church is dying away, the word of God has lost its power in the congregations of worshipers and carnality is on the increase in the church. Is this church dance not a lie? Is not the discovery of church dance at the close of the 21st century, the discovery of the instrument of church apostasy preserved by Satan for this end-time? Has it not taken over the place of the Holy Spirit and destroyed true holiness? Tread with caution beloved of God!

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
