THE EXEMPLARY HOLY GARMENT OF JESUS AND THE SAINTS

TEXT: MARK 15:24

Key Verse: 1Timothy 4:12…but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
They crucified Him and the cloth they found on Him was valuable and useful that they could not tear them. They got them in full, the top and lower. They cast lots for who could pick the top and lower. From this scripture, we understand the kind of dressing Jesus used. He dressed in a clean, modern,e and noble way, devoid of flamboyance as in the world. His cloth attracted the soldiers so that they cast lots on them on whom to take it for personal use. We are saying this so that nobody will say Christianity means dressing shabbily, not wearing reasonable clothes, being poor in appearance; being indecent,t and going for the lowest. Jesus dressed well and respectably because a good dressing on you is important for human respect and honor. If you do not dress appropriately, you will not command honor. Our Lord Jesus dressed well and His appearance was honored. People delighted in His dressing. Yet, we need to differentiate this from flamboyance, ostentation,n and worldliness appearances.
Luke 7:26-But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
Jesus was describing John the Baptist and his clothing, which was different from the ones you found in places of flamboyance. He said, if you talk about flamboyant and gorgeous dressing, go to the king’s palace, where money is wasted. Those people do not only give attention to dressing but they live delicately, in feasting, drunkenness, dancing and all that gratifies the flesh. Is that where you will find the prophet of God? Is that how you will find the prophet of God? He said, no. John the Baptist, the prophet of God did not dress like that; neither did Jesus dress as one in the king’s palace. He did not dress in excess or as a man living delicately nor in rags.
That is, God looks on earth saying that the dressing of My people is not of those dressing to show riches, wealth or like those living worldly, ostentatious,s and high life. That is what He is showing us in the above scripture. Our dressing and adornment should portray our calling, for our clothing describes who we are in the world. We should show who we are. John was a prophet and Jesus was a Messiah to save both the rich and poor. Thus, He did not dress like the rich in the world nor like the poor man or pauper. He dressed nobly, righteous,y and respectfully to give Him success in His ministry. Brethren, dress to glorify GOD!

Thought for the day: Our dressing and adornment should portray our holy calling

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
