COUNSEL TO THE RICH IN CHRIST

For taking your time to study remain blessed.
Saturday 6th November

COUNSEL TO THE RICH IN CHRIST
TEXT:  JAMES 5:1-6
Key verse:  “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after,
they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”.
(1Timothy 6:10).

It is the Lord that makes His children rich in this world. He gives the power, privilege, wisdom, and grace to make wealth. Not all are materially rich as we can see in the scripture and around us today. However, in the body of Christ, some brethren are financially and materially rich. God is the giver and taker of riches. When riches are handled well they glorify God.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it. However, when material riches and wealth are not subjected to the word of God in their uses and management, they result in all kinds of miseries on earth and the everlasting damnation of hellfire.
The following counsels are necessary to guide the wealthy believers:
· Do not love money. Matthew 6:24.
· Do not set your heart on riches. Mark 10:24.
· Love God and set your heart on Him. Matthew 22:37.
· Do not pursue after riches and human greatness. Jeremiah 45:5.
· Use your money for the course of the gospel. Psalm 68:11.
· Help the poor with your money. Proverb 19:17.
· Follow after righteousness, faith, kindness, and love. 2 Timothy 2:22.
· Do all that is in your power and in the grace of Christ to remain holy.
· Lay your treasures in heaven. Matthew 6:19.
· Always glorify God for giving you wealth. Galatians 5:26.
· Be contented. 1 Timothy 6:6.
Pray for the rich brethren that Satan will not frustrate their holiness through pride, arrogance, stinginess, indiscretion and lack of wisdom.

Thought for the day: Riches in your hand is God's money. Use for His glory.
Song for the day: O Lord I am very very grateful for all you have done for me
Bible reading for the day: Jeremiah 43-45; Hebrews 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
PRACTICE OF PRAYER AND FASTING.  WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 TEXT: ISAIAH 58:1-8                                                                                                        Key verse: “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”  Luke 2:37. The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
