VICTORY OVER THE FLESH
TEXT: ESTHER 2:16-19
Key verse: 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Queen Esther was a victorious, godly woman amid her peers, who were generally unbelievers and pagans from heathen nations. Circumstances brought her into a contest with all these ladies and she won a resounding international victory to be crowned queen of the empire. May the Lord always remember you and make you victorious in all righteous endeavours. May you emerge victorious when you are examined alongside other people as was the case with Esther, and also with Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Esther was victorious over the flesh in many areas: She conquered her flesh. She overcame the fear of King Ahasuerus, the monarch of the kingdom. She contended with the fear of death and overcame it. Circumstances brought her in a life and death struggle against Haman, the arch-enemy of the Jews and she overcame him in her wisdom. She conquered because she was a godly woman and her God was with her. The Lord shall raise many Esthers in our time because there are great battles to fight and win for Jesus.

What is worldliness? It means living and behaving like the people of the world. That is living, speaking, thinking, acting, planning and dressing like the world. Seeking beauty and running after the fashion of this world that fades away. Admiring and aspiring for the false beauty from cosmetics, jewellery and all forms of artificial beauty. Esther conquered these things. She was victorious over the temptation of carnal and fleshly beauty, even at the peak of a keenly contested beauty pageant.
Without righteousness, beauty is vanity. Give priority to righteousness, else beauty without righteousness will not profit you. Real beauty is not about the face but the heart, possessing the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is of great price in the sight of God.

Thought for the day: Without righteousness, beauty is vanity
Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of believers, Lord I want to be holy
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 56-58; 1 Thessalonians 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
