LET THE FIRE OF REVIVAL KEEP BURNING AND NOT DIE
TEXT:  JOEL 2: 28-30
Key verse: Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

It was a historic revival in Los Angeles, California, led by William Seymour. The revival began in April 1906 and continued until 1915. On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God, "when suddenly, as though hit by lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor," and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout loud praises to God.

The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; and a few days later, Seymour himself received the Holy Spirit; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down under the power of God as they approached; people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and the sick were healed and sinners received salvation. To further accommodate the crowds, a building at 312 Azusa Street was secured. In this humble Azusa Street mission, a continuous three-year revival occurred and became known around the world. The revival produced spiritual experiences with testimonies of physical healing miracles, worship services, and speaking in tongues.

News of the events quickly circulated among the residents of the city, and for several nights, various speakers would preach to the crowds of curious and interested onlookers from the front porch of the Asberry home. Members of the audience included people from a broad spectrum of income levels and religious backgrounds. Soon the crowds became very large and were full of people speaking in tongues, shouting, singing and moaning.
By 1913, the revival at Azusa Street had lost momentum, and most of the media attention and crowds had left by 1915. Seymour remained there with his wife, Jennie, for the rest of their lives as pastors of the small African American congregation, though he often made short trips to help establish other smaller revivals later in life.

Thought for the day: The revival produced spiritual experiences with testimonies of
healing, miracles, worship services, and speaking in tongues.
Song for the day: Revival, Pentecostal revival (3x), We need the revival….
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 45-47; Colossians 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
PRACTICE OF PRAYER AND FASTING.  WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 TEXT: ISAIAH 58:1-8                                                                                                        Key verse: “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”  Luke 2:37. The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
